Explainer Video: 5 Amazing Samples

Explainer Videos are an incredibly powerful tool to communicate a company’s message! Not only that, but they can clearly introduce their products and services. In recent years, explainer videos has sky rocketed due to their compelling use of motion graphics, music and narration.

Finding the right creative group to produce high-end explainer videos can be quite a challenge. Thankfully, here’s a Los Angeles Based Video Production Company than can help! They are an award-winning explainer video agency with a ton of happy clients. They make sure you approve every step before they move on to the next phase.

2D Animation Videos are more affordable than live-action TV Commercials, but more importantly, they can clearly communicate complex information. This is why even brands that have limitless production budgets like Google produce explainer videos to reach their audiences.
Best Explainer Videos

Here are some of our favorite Explainer Videos:

1. Google Assistant Explainer Video

The visuals are simple and straight forward! The Google Assistant stands out as the only colorful element in a world of grays.

An upbeat music track accompanies the creative visual flow as the video illustrates all the benefits of the product. The Assistant can display photos, play your music, connect to the internet and communicate with all your favorite devices.

This is one of our favorite explainer videos because in just a few minutes, it manages to communicate all the benefits of the product while making it entertaining. Want to call Dad? No problem. Need a new recipe for tonight’s dinner. Coming right up! Should we check on baby? Let’s connect you!

2. ChatClass Explainer Video

If this 2D explainer video was filmed, it would have easily cost $100,000 to $200,000 considering the number of characters and locations. FYI – showing an actor standing atop planet earth can be recreated easily and quite affordable by using green screen.

Interestingly, the creative director of this spot has made similar choices to the previous Google Assistant ad. You will notice that the elements of interest are in color whereas everything is grayed out.

ChatClass establishes a recurring problem with other classes (Lack of time, lack of individual attention, etc.) and then, a quarter of the way through the ad, introduces the solution. This is a very effective technique to create a compelling case for a new product that can make life much easier for its target audience.

3. Proofer Explainer Video

Fluid, clean, easy to understand. The Explainer Video for proofer is a success in our book because it achieves all three.

Not all Videos are equal. There will be companies that will promise you Explainer Videos but unfortunately, many will create cheap looking flat animations that immediately communicate a less-than-par creative company. Unfortunately, that doesn’t reinforce a brand as a leading creative think tank.

In the case of Proofer, they have created here a video that communicates their message with high-quality designs and color schemes. We flow from one scene to another seamlessly.

Another reason why Proofer made our list is because of their decision to take us through the user experience when we visit the website. From the scrolling of the mouse to the button clicks, we get the feeling that it’s going to be a fun, welcoming and entirely streamlined process.

4. McDonald’s Ordering App

https://youtu.be/KqSjX3_Wh-E

Just like the others, this commercial has the fluidity that is intrinsic to good motion graphic videos and it incorporates all the brand colors of McDonald’s. As soon as we see the first few frames of the ad, we know that we are watching a commercial for McDonald’s.

While we have a complaint about the extra-wiggliness of the finger as it tapes on the various buttons inside the app, we’re willing to turn a blind eye because of the high quality of the video throughout.

5. Apple Explainer Video

Simple. Surprise. Love. Connection. The simplicity in this ad mimics the same satisfaction we get when we unbox a brand new Apple device. There’s that clean fluidity we discussed with the earlier spots.

The creatives asked themselves what they want their audience to feel and the four words they ended up with were Simple, Surprise, Love and Connection. Not sure if the ad achieved the love or connection aspects, but it definitely creates satisfying feelings derived from the simplicity and the elements of surprise in the visuals.

As the ad shares with us, thousands of No’s had to be overcome before the team reached the Yes’s that are contained in the ad. While this 2D Explainer Video looks simple, it is far from. Many artists worked tirelessly to create the presentation that Apple gives us in this motion graphic commercial.
